In Memory Of
Margiella Klawitter
1942 - 2022

With great sadness we are announcing the peaceful passing of Margiella Klawitter (Margie/Marge), (born October 13, 1942) on November 29, 2022. Marge was married to Paul J. Klawitter for 56 years until his passing in 2018. Together they raised 7 children – Paul G.(Clarinda), Linda(David), Eve (Allam), David (Dawn), Terri, John and Scott – at their house in Holland, Ohio. Marge was a truly loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Aunt, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Their house was always welcoming friends and family with wonderful dinners featuring German foods, kielbasa and/or Pigs in the blanket. +

Marge worked in the food and beverage industry – including The Commodore Perry hotel- and eventually owned and operated the Parkway Lounge on the Anthony Wayne Trail in Maumee. The Lounge soon gained a reputation as “home” to the Ohio State Buckeye Fans for the football games and dinners.

Marge loved her dogs–and currently Mia, who kept her good company. She loved all kinds of music and listened to Gaither’s Gospel Music. She enjoyed many cruises with her husband Paul and a quick trip to Windsor Casino when they were feeling lucky! Marge loved her garden filled with flowers. The empty space left by her departing will never be filled. Margie you will be missed.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500) with Pastor Bill McGinnis speaking at 4:00 p.m.

You may stream the service at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 by clicking here.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Toledo Humane Society, toledohumane.org.
