Linda L. Dodd, age 75, of Springfield Twp., passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her daughter’s home surrounded by loving family. She was born on October 7, 1946 to Junior and Dolly (Krise) Beard in West Virginia. Linda enjoyed crafting, especially cross stitching, and painting. She was very artistic and made her grandchildren’s Halloween costumes. Linda loved music, dancing, and riding the trike with her late husband Dave. She was an excellent baker, her pies and Christmas cookies being her specialty. Later in life, Linda looked forward to the Sunday drives and adventures with her second love in life, Bill. She loved the time spent with her family and grandchildren. Linda had a heart of gold and was known as “Nana” to many. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David M. Dodd, Sr.; second love, William Thomas; sister, LaDonna Trucholski; and brother, Frank Beard. Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her loving children, Roni (George) Young, David “Mickey” (Anne) Dodd, Jr. and Erica Beard; grandchildren, Samantha, Zachary (Samantha), Owen, and Devon; step-grandchildren, Zachary, Jeremy (Taylor), Cody, Abby and Bailey; great-granddaughter, Charlotte “Charlee”; brothers, Jesse (Patricia) and Charles Beard; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo (419-392-9500) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
