In Memory Of
Richard C. "Rick" Grover
1952 - 2021
Growing up in Maumee, Rick spent hours fishing on the river during his youth. He was an avid sportsman enjoying several area teams like The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings to name a few. If there was a game on, he was watching it ! Rick also enjoyed watching WWE RAW on Monday nights.
Rick was a simple man and wished all the attention to be on his family, especially his grandchildren. Family was important to him so the times they were able to be together celebrating various holidays, birthdays or family dinners were very special memories for Rick.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents. Rick is survived by his loving wife of almost 34 years, Julie (Wenzel) Grover; children, Darlene Loughner, April Schalow, Richard P. Grover and Sara Grover; grandchildren, Katie, Kylie, Lily and Ben Schalow, Jaden Loughner, Ricky A. and Elijah Grover; sister, Janet McGrananhan, mother-in-law, Lillian Wenzel and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 1:00 -7:00 pm at Newcomer, Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Celebration of Life will begin Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be family friend, Pastor Rick Morris.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association in Rick's memory.
