Ronald "Ron" B. Ankney, age 65, of Toledo, Ohio passed away, Saturday, November 9, 2019. Ron was born on November 26, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Melvin and Cosa Ankney.

Ron graduated from Roy C. Start High School, class of '73. Later in life he retired in 2013 from American Metal Craft as a Tool and Die marker for 27 years. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, mostly hunting and fishing. He was known for being a simple man, who loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish Ron's memory is his son, Jason (Hillary) Ankney; granddaughters, Taylor (Tracy), Marissa (Andrew), Savannah, KayLena, Destinee, and Chloe; 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way; mother, Cosa Becker; siblings, Donna (Bob) Schlievert, Bill (Margaret) Ankney, Debbie (Jack) Anderson, John (Evelyn) Ankney, and Darleen Lynn; sister-in-law, Rita (John) Bateson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially the "Ron's". Ron was preceded in death by his father; loving wife, Carlena (Lawson) Ankney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Ohio Living Hospice.

Family will receive guests Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623 (419-473-0300) with Entombment to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
