Timothy Posadny, age 72, passed away on February 10, 2019. He was born on March 8, 1947 to the late Mary and Michael Posadny in Toledo, Ohio.

Tim retired after many years as an Engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad. What mattered most to him was love and family. Tim shared this love by baking dozens of cookies, making weekly phone calls, mowing neighborhood lawns and sharing stories accompanied by his quick sense of humor. He loved fishing with his grandsons and golfing with his family. Tim’s family will remember him as outgoing, ornery, loving and most of all, generous.

Left to cherish his memory is his high school sweetheart and love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Mary; children, Amy Eckert and Dan (Joanne) Posadny; son-in-law, Robert Eckert; siblings, Eugene (Eileen) Posadny, Pat (Art) Claybaugh, Shirley Monto, Leonard (Mary) Posadny, David (Linda) Posadny; grandchildren, Josh and Laura Eckert, Tim Posadny. Tim was preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Untersinger and Barbara Zeigler.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 4-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
