Alice Mae Tipton passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2019 at the age of 80.

Alice is survived by her children: Jack Pratt (Margaret), Tina Simpson (Dewey), Floyd Pratt (Susan), Michael Pratt (Kaleene), and Lorinda Haas (Mike). Grandchildren: Janice Vasquez (Manuel), Joshua Pratt (Sarah), Brian Wilichowski (Crystal), Precious Pratt, Amanda Simpson, Rebecca Wilichowski, Jacob Wilichowski (Mandy), Angela Pratt, Katherine Bradley (Eric), Sabrina Lewis (Dave), Ryan Pratt (Brittany), Tiffany Crigger (Jacob), Amanda Pratt, Jerrica Pratt, Tyler Smock, Toni Pratt, Jonah Pratt. Great grandchildren: Aidan, Aleena, Alexandria, Diego, Dominic, Gabrielle, Jeremiah, Jordan, Isaac, Isabella, Jayli, Levi, Max, Savanna, Serenity, Sirena, Skylar, Sydney, Trenton. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years - Lorin Tipton, her daughters Sandy Pratt and Connie Pratt, grandson Jackie Pratt III, parents and several siblings.

Alice, one of eleven children, was born on 12/27/1938 in Defiance, OH. to Floyd Ordway and Marie Barlow of Evansport, OH. After moving to Toledo and attending Woodward High School she worked various jobs including a roller skating carhop/waitress at White Hut, a Manager at the Lagrange street White Hut, a nurses aid at Bedford Elderly Care and on the production line at Faurecia Automotive which she retired from before moving to Tazewell TN.

Alice’s children will remember her as a kind hearted, patient and gentle mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, playing on her organ, listening to religious and country music, reading her Bible, and relaxing on her back porch in Tennessee with a cup of coffee. She was an active and dedicated member of the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with her Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
