David J. Darnell, age 56, of Toledo, went to be with God January 4, 2019 at University of Toledo Medical Center. David was born June 2, 1962 in Toledo to Gerald and Lola (Smith) Darnell. He enjoyed playing euchre at Post 642 and American Legion, he also attended church whenever possible. He will be remembered as a supportive father, grandfather known for telling horrible jokes.

In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by brother Donald James Darnell. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Annamarie Janise Darnell, children, Richard C. (Jocelyn) Darnell, Melissa M. (Jeremy)Peals, two grandchildren, Levi and Jase Darnell, who were his most cherished treasures and siblings, Dana (Jean) Darnell, Rhonda (Dave) Jenkins, Daniel Darnell.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at First Christian Church of Sylvania, 5271 West Alexis Road; with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Newcomer - SW Chapel is assisting the family (419) 381-1900.

Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the donor's choice in David's memory.
