William “Bill” Bell, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2018 with his family by his side. William was born September 17, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Myrtle Bell. He retired from Detroit Ball Bearing in Defiance where he worked for over 30 years. He had a great passion for genealogy and helped many people find their ancestors. His other interest included camping, gardening, and traveling. He was a big Duke University fan and spent time coaching and umpiring a women’s softball team. He loved spending time with his family and spent lots of time grilling for the family cookouts. Bill was preceded in death by his loving parents and his first wife Patricia Bell. He will be forever missed by his loving Wife, Barbara Bell; Son, Douglas (Gina) Bell; Daughter, Kathy Bell; Step-daughter, Emily Kroggel; Grand-daughters, Olivia and Macy Kroggel, and Grandson Jesse Bell. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614, (419) 391-1900. Family will have a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in memory of Bill.
