Barbara Jean Lewis affectionately called Grandmother and Queen, age 80, of Toledo, passed away August 16, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Barbara was born May 16, 1938 in Toledo to James and Lucille (Kearney) Boyd. She was employed with the St. Vincent Hospital for more than 10 years. Barbara was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses; Manhattan, Jermiane and Stickney Congregations. As a Regular Pioneer Minister for 32 years, she enjoyed playing piano, roller skating, cooking, baking, doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, spending time with friends and showing hospitality and most of all her preaching work.

She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, James S. Lewis, children, Broderick L. Lewis, Steven A. (Caroline) Lewis, Eric W. (Crystal) Lewis, Janet M. (Silas) Hobbs; brothers, Wendell Boyd, Raynard (Virginia) Boyd, Wayne Boyd, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Boyd.

A memorial service will be held for Barbara on Monday August 20, 2018 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1722 Cherry St. Toledo, OH 43608; with family hour at 10:00 a.m. and memorial talk at 11:00 a.m.
