William "Bill" Lohner, born on October 21, 1957, in Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his hometown surrounded by his family on August 14, 2025. Bill's vibrant personality and passion for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A graduate of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio, Bill had a profound love for cars, which blossomed into a noteworthy career as an exceptional vehicle painter. His skills and dedication to the craft reflected not only his talent but also his enduring passion.
Bill's thirst for adventure and love for the outdoors were evident in his social nature. He enjoyed many activities, including participating in the Bike to the Bay, where his zest for life shone brightly. Bill treasured his time at Cedar Point, embracing the thrill of roller coasters, which mirrored his adventurous spirit. His fondness for travel often led him to new places, creating cherished memories with his family and friends.
He was a devoted father to his three children: Danny Lohner, Chris Lohner, Stacey Melnek and husband Brian, who shared a special bond with him and his love for life. His grandson, Owen Melnek, brought immense joy to Bill, encapsulating his pride as a grandfather. Bill is also survived by his brothers, Jeff Lohner and wife Lynne, and Alan Lohner, whose support and companionship were significant in his life.
Bill's family includes his ex-wife, Terry Lohner, and former wife, Vickie Annesser, both of whom played important roles in his life, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends whose lives he touched with warmth and kindness.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Andy Lohner; his mother, Jean Lohner; and siblings John Lohner, Mary Ann Lohner, and Bob Lohner. Their memories remain cherished, and they will be remembered fondly as Bill joins them once more.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bill's life at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623. Visitation will take place on August 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
Bill Lohner's legacy of love, adventure, and family will continue to inspire all who knew him. His proudest accomplishments are undoubtedly his family and friends, who will carry his spirit forward in their hearts.
