William S. Karcsak, age 90, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Frank and Mary Karcsak.
William was a proud graduate of Irving E. Macomber High School, Class of 1954. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Army before returning home to begin a long and dedicated career. William worked for 55 years at LOF as an Equipment Operator, a testament to his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment. Upon retirement, he cherished spending time pursuing the hobbies he enjoyed most.
In July of 1975, William married Patricia, and together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and treasured memories. William had a passion for building model airplanes and boating, hobbies that brought him great joy throughout his life. He was also an avid collector who took pride in the many unique treasures he gathered over the years.
Known for his quiet strength, determination, and dedication to his family, William will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Karcsak; his parents, Frank and Mary Karcsak; and his brothers, Frank and Jim Karcsak.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy in the hearts of his children, William S. Karcsak Jr., Jenny (Steve) Ackerman, and Leonard (Melanie) Karcsak; his cherished granddaughters, Madalyn and Paige Karcsak; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and conclude at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, William will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, 2224 Dorr Street, Toledo, Ohio 43607.
William's family would like to thank all those who have offered their love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. His memory will forever live on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Care360 Hospice in William's memory.
