William Lindsey Hoose

William "Bill" Lindsey Hoose, age 81, resident of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by love, on December 27, 2023. He was born on March 18, 1942, in Peru, Ohio, to the late Harry and Edna (Lindsey) Hoose.


Bill proudly served in the United States Army, from November 1960 to October 1963, where he was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.


Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Helen (Kowalski) Hoose, whom he married in 1971; three children, William M. (Jodi) Hoose, Carolyn (Jason) Moss, and Christopher Hoose; and four grandchildren, William N. Hoose, Ella May Hoose, Brooklyn Hoose, and Callie Hoose.


In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by six siblings, George Hoose, Teresa Hoose, Patricia Hoose Smith, Jean Hoose Selby, David Hoose, and James Hoose; and a son-in-law, Chris Ackerman.


A celebration of life will take place at Knights of Columbus at 109 East Perry St., Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on March 16, 2024. Newcomer Funeral Home is honored to be serving Bill's family.
