Warren "Scottie" Bell

Warren Scott Bell, affectionately known as “Scottie”, age 63, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Scottie was born on March 11, 1962, at Mercy Hospital to Mary Coleman and James Greene. He graduated from Macomber High School, Class of 1980—a proud Macman. He went on to attend Owens College, where he completed the Culinary Arts program. Scottie dedicated 25 years of service as a program manager at BRIDGES before retiring in 2014.

A man of faith, Scottie accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a devoted member of First Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Robert A. Culp, remaining faithful until his passing.

Scottie will be remembered most for his quick wit and sense of humor that could fill a room with laughter. His love for music was unmatched—spending time with him meant hours of listening and dancing to the sounds of James Brown and George Clinton. He was also a passionate sports fan and athlete, with a lifelong love for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Above all, Scottie’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished gatherings filled with food, laughter, and the company of those he loved most.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Veronica Bell; his children, David Estrada and Alicia Bell; his parents, Mary Coleman and James Greene; and his stepfather, Leon Coleman Sr. (Shelia). He is also survived by his brothers, Jeffery Coleman (Shannan) and Leon Coleman Jr. (Wanda); along with a host of caring nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

On Saturday, September the 27th, a viewing will be held at 3016 Collingwood Blvd. Toledo, OH, First Church of God at 11am with service following immediately after starting at 12PM. Recession following service at 5725 Hill Ave, Toledo, OH Resurrection Cemetery. A repass held in Scottie's honor will take place following the burial with times and location to be determined.
