Vicenta "Pat" Gomez Salcedo

Vicenta Gomez Salcedo, affectionately known as Pat, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Born on September 11, 1942, in Batangas, Philippines, Vicenta lived a life marked by dedication, devotion, and profound faith. She was a respected accountant whose professional life was guided by integrity and diligence.

Pat was a woman of deep religious conviction, finding solace and strength in praying the rosary daily. Her spiritual life was central to her identity, a source of comfort that she embraced fully. She cherished traveling, especially weekend getaways with friends, which brought joy and adventure to her days. Above all, she was a devoted caregiver to her sisters and the entire family, maintaining strong bonds even with relatives across the Philippines.

Vicenta is survived by her beloved siblings Maria Salcedo, Angelita Salcedo, Jonas (Loretta) Salcedo, and Alfredo Salcedo. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and a close friend, Priscila Perez De Tagle, who all hold her memory dear.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jose and Paula Salcedo, her brothers Remgio and Jimmy Salcedo, and her sister Teresita Garcia.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the doctors, nurses and staff at Mercy St. Vincent, and her primary physician, Dr. Richard Paat, for their compassionate care and support during her final days.

Visitation for Vicenta Gomez Salcedo will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. A prayer service will follow there on Saturday, May 23, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m., a Mass will follow at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Vicenta’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, her unwavering spirit, and her commitment to those she loved. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
