Unice Annette "Ann" Sudeth, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 85. Born on August 31, 1940, in Pensacola, Florida, Ann was a beacon of joy and compassion throughout her life.
As a proud graduate of Tate High School, class of 1958, Ann carried with her the values instilled in her at an early age, particularly her deep-seated faith as a dedicated Christian. Throughout her life, she nurtured her love for the Lord and was a devoted member of Hope Baptist Church for 25 years. Ann's faith was not just a belief, it was a guiding light that shaped how she interacted with the world around her. With a smile that could light up the darkest of rooms and a laughter that was undoubtedly contagious, she drew people in and made everyone feel valued and loved.
Ann's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She had a profound love for animals, often taking the time to feed and nurture those in need, caring for them as though they were family. Her appreciation for nature extended into her hobbies as well, where she spent countless hours gardening and creating beautiful floral arrangements, especially for weddings. Her skills brought joy to many, and her gardens were a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Family held a treasured place in Ann's heart. She was married for 55 wonderful years to her late husband, Louis Sudeth, whom she wed on October 31, 1958. Their bond was one of unconditional love and support, enriching each other's lives deeply.
Ann is survived by her beloved children: Steven, Pamela, and Michael (Jennifer). She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister Brenda (James) Kemp and her cherished nephew Charles (Lynn) Kemp, as well as her dear niece Cheryl (Phillip) Barnes. Ann's legacy will live on in the love of her fur baby Marco and through a host of extended family and friends, all of whom were touched by her caring nature and infectious spirit.
Preceding her in death were her husband Louis Sudeth; her parents, Claude and Mary Sapp; her brothers James Sapp and Junior Sapp; and her sisters Betty Jean Sapp (infant) and Claudette Sapp. Each of these individuals shaped her life in meaningful ways, leaving behind a legacy of love that Ann continued to share with all.
As we remember Unice "Ann" Sudeth, let us celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with joy, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others. Her memory will remain etched in our hearts, ever reminding us of the abundant love she shared with the world.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hope Baptist Church, located at 6250 South Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43615, in honor of Unice's faith and devotion.
