Trig Simon, age 81, of Delta, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2026, at Fulton County Health Center. Born on August 3, 1944, in Toledo to Paul and Lillian (Bliss) Simon, Trig led a life marked by dedication and creativity.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army and contributed his talents to several workplaces, including Haughton Elevator and Toledo Engineering. As an entrepreneur, Trig owned and operated Island Woodworks and Video Imagining, where his inventive spirit shone through in his ability to create solutions tailored to others' needs. A proud survivor of a kidney transplant for 27 years, he lived his life with resilience and faith. Trig was also a devoted Elder at Winameg Christian Church.
Trig was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son Troy Simon, and siblings Wayne Simon, Gerry Simon, Karen Dupler, and Shelly Simon-Straub. He is lovingly remembered by his significant other, Diana Buehrer; his children Chad (Natalia), Cole, Jeff, Jennifer, and Laura Simon; Diana’s children Connie, Kerry (Ken), and Billy (Angie); numerous cherished grandchildren; as well as siblings Patricia Winkler, Michael (Pam) Simon, Mary (Dan) Vas, and brother-in-law Chuck Simon-Straub.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Trig on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Funeral services will commence at 6:00 p.m. the same day at the funeral home.
In honor of Trig’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital at 3338 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
