Listen to Obituary

Tracey L. Sutton, born on June 11, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on November 18, 2025, in her hometown at the age of 62. Tracey's journey through life was marked by creativity, resilience, and a deep commitment to her loved ones.

A proud member of the Whitmer High School class of 1981, Tracey embraced her artistic talents as an accomplished tattoo artist. She dedicated much of her life to her craft, traveling extensively across the country and even internationally, showcasing her artistry at biker events and engaging with people from all walks of life. Her distinctive style and warm approach left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.

Tracey's service in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska as a mechanic, highlighted her unwavering spirit and strong sense of duty. Her experiences in the military informed much of who she was—unique, independent, and fiercely loyal. Known for her ornery yet kind demeanor, Tracey maintained a personality that was as vibrant as the artwork she created. Her friends and family recall her blunt honesty, grace, and self-sacrificing nature.

Throughout her life, Tracey faced many challenges. She battled breast cancer with remarkable strength and dignity, giving up personal pursuits to care for her father, Irving Sutton, in his time of need. Despite the hardships she encountered, Tracey often expressed that she had no regrets. She fought many battles without showing the scars, embodying a spirit of determination that inspired those around her.

Tracey leaves behind her beloved family, including her brother Brain (Rachel) Sutton, her sister-in-law Jenny Sutton, and her cherished nieces and nephews: Alexandrea, Alissa, Gage (Grace), Gabriella, Tyler, and Grady. She is also remembered fondly by her cousin Cindy Rhubright and her close friend Sandi Pelton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Patricia Sutton, and her brother John Sutton.

A Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Ln, Toledo, OH 43623, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Father Dave Nuss will be officiating.
