Torie "Marie" Bartlett, a vibrant soul who filled every room with warmth and joy, left this world on January 21, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, at the tender age of 32. Born on October 24, 1993, in Toledo, she thrived in her community and brought light to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, Torie exemplified the meaning of dedication, both in her career and to her family. She worked diligently at Family Dollar for nearly a decade, ultimately becoming a manager. Her hard work and commitment were not just efforts for personal success but were rooted in her deep desire to support and care for others.
Torie was a person who cherished unforgettable moments with her family, especially during special occasions. The Smokey Mountains held a special place in her heart, where countless memories were created amidst the beauty of nature. Her weekly family dinners on Tuesdays and the joyful celebration of holidays were traditions she eagerly anticipated each year. Halloween, in particular, was a favorite of hers; she delighted in reveling in the spooky fun that the holiday brought. The thrill of spending time at Cedar Point, with season passes in hand for her and her beloved son Brayden, highlighted her generous spirit and zest for adventure.
Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her son Brayden, whom she adored unconditionally. Born on April 6, 2014, Brayden was the center of her universe, and she embraced motherhood with great joy, nurturing him with love and spoiling him in the best ways.
Torie attended Start High School, where echoes of her bright, bubbly personality and infectious laughter lingered long after she graduated. Friends and teachers celebrated her selflessness and fierce loyalty, traits that made her truly irreplaceable to those who were lucky enough to know her. Alongside her infectious energy, Torie's feisty spirit shone through in her hobbies. Whether fishing, golfing, creating beautiful diamond art, or camping under the stars, she lived life to its fullest. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, her passion for the game was curiously influenced by a childhood mishap involving her dad.
Torie is survived by her beloved son, Brayden Leary; her parents, William and Rhonda Bartlett; her siblings, Samantha (Jonathan) Gunter and William (Kimberly) Bartlett; her grandfathers, Jim and Carl; her grandmother, Barbara; and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces, including Harmonie, Amara, Izzy, and Alora, and nephews, J.J. and Gideon.
She joins in eternal peace her dear grandmother Lucy Bartlett, great-grandmother Violet Frick, and niece Liberty, who, along with everyone who lost touch with her, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Friends and family will gather to honor her life during visitation at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Northwest Toledo on January 31, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow, celebrating her incredible spirit and the love she shared with all.
Torie "Marie" Bartlett may have left this earthly realm, but her legacy of love, laughter, and light continues on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed, yet forever cherished as the life of the party and a radiant gem that made the world a better place.
