Timothy James Wohn, a man whose heart was as expansive as his laughter, departed this world on June 26, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. He left us far too soon, at the age of sixty-seven, but the impact he carved upon the lives of those around him remains everlasting.
Born on May 22, 1958, Timothy’s journey started humble yet profound, shaped by the love of his parents, Jacob (Mary) Wohn and Noladean (Leo) Shiets, who nurtured his early years and instilled values that would resonate throughout his life. He proudly grew up in Toledo, eventually attending Start High School, where his funny and caring demeanor first captured friends' hearts.
Timothy dedicated over thirty years to his role on the Assembly Line at Jeep, where his industrious spirit earned him respect and admiration amongst colleagues, many of whom became lifelong friends. In this tight-knit community, he expressed his steadfast loyalty through shared work and camaraderie, always finding time to lend a hand or share a jest.
Those who knew him well would recall his unique ability to craft vibrant lyrics to existing songs, as if he spoke a secret language of his own, adding his signature humor to each note. His endearing personality enriched the lives of all who crossed his path, illuminating the mundane with laughter and warmth.
In his leisure, Tim found joy on the green, loving the game of golf, occasionally indulging in gambling, and holding dear the moments spent with his beloved family. He was a dedicated attendee of the annual Perch Fest at Port Clinton, an occasion he cherished, weaving it into the fabric of family tradition. As a devoted grandfather, he reveled in watching his grandchildren—Aidon, Jase, and Cole—shine on various sports fields, always on the sidelines, cheering them on with boundless pride.
Timothy is survived by his daughter, Staci Wohn, and her partner Brett Albert, alongside his cherished grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy woven into the hearts of his siblings, Larry Wohn, Diane Starr, Jamie Wohn, and Daniel (Terri) Wohn, who will forever treasure their shared memories and laughter. He was a loving uncle to numerous nephews and nieces, whose lives he touched with generosity and affection and cherished cousin.
He joins those who have preceded him, including his brother, Ricky Wohn, whose absence he felt deeply, as well as his parents, whose teachings guided him throughout life, and beloved nephews, Brandon Smarszcz and Jason Wohn.
In remembrance of Timothy, friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial on July 14, 2025, at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Northwest Toledo, where his spirit will be celebrated from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service commencing at 5:00 PM. As we say goodbye to Timothy James Wohn, may we carry forward his laughter, his caring nature, and the countless memories that shade our lives with light.
