Timothy "Timmy" Powell, Sr.

Timothy Aaron Powell, Sr. was born to James and Priscilla Powell on January 31, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away April 7, 2025, unexpectedly.

Timothy affectionately known as “Timmy” to family and friends was the life of the party! He loved nothing more than spending his time with his children, family, and friends. Timmy loved to cook and host family gatherings, feeding everyone near and far. He had a big heart and loved to crack jokes, keeping everyone around him laughing and smiling. Timmy was a hard worker and provider for his children and family. In the year of 2000, he would become a Machine Operator at Steel Dimensions Incorporated where he would work for 20 years. He loved working with his Steel Dimension family over the years and had a close relationship with Virgil the owner of the company.

Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, James and Priscilla Powell; grandparents, Louise Smith, J.T and Sadie Powell; sisters, Kimberly Smith, and Dorian Murphy; best friend and brother in-law, James Murphy.

Timmy leaves to honor his legacy his son, Timothy “TJ” Powell II, daughters Tahjai Stokes, Ti’Myra, and Ti’Morah Powell; grandchildren, Jade Stokes, Tristian, Londyn, and E’Maurion Powell; sisters Kelly Powell, Stacey Powell (Columbus, Oh) and Jacqueline Villolovos; brothers, James (Carla) Powell II (Miami, FL), and Anthony Powell. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and family friends.

Timmy will be missed by all his family and friends who loved him. His family has vowed to continue his legacy and keep his name alive! His family would like to thank everyone for their condolences, love, and support during their time of grieving.

The family will receive guests Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
