Timothy "Tim" Rutkowski

Timothy “Tim” Rutkowski passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 63. He dedicated his entire life to his family. His unwavering work ethic and determination kept him at Toledo Edison for nearly 47 years. Often soft-spoken and a bit mysterious, Tim had a way of leaving a lasting impression on anyone he spoke with. His sense of humor was infectious, and his compassion for others was evident in everything he did.

Tim had a deep love for cars, sports, and history—interests that brought him joy and fueled his constant desire to learn. He had an incredible ability to fix just about anything, and he was always the one people turned to when something needed repair. Above all, Tim worked tirelessly to ensure his family was taken care of. When his children were growing up, he never missed a moment—he was always there to support them.

Six months prior to his passing, Tim lost his beloved wife of 42 years, Tammy—a loss that left a hole in his heart that could never be filled. Now, Tim and Tammy are reunited, forever together on a sunny beach with a cold drink in hand.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy, and his father, Paul. He is survived by his daughter Amanda (Jeremy) Bailey; his sons Ryan (Chelsey) Rutkowski and Kyle Rutkowski; and his cherished grandchildren, Avery and Knox, who brought him endless joy. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Talula. Tim is also survived by his mother, Nancy, and his three brothers: Michael (Bunny), Stephen(Kim) , and Paul Jr(Lisa).
