Thomas R. Jones

Thomas R. Jones, 77, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on November 26, 2024 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on January 14, 1947 to William and Leora (Mitchell) Jones in Toledo. He honorably served in the US Army.

Thomas worked his career for the City of Maumee, including as a supervisor in the street department. He was a member of Goldwing Motorcycle Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Maumee, and Harbor View Yacht Club. He enjoyed bowling at Timbers Bowling Center, boating, and traveling. 

Thomas married Mary Beth (Boden) Jones in 1970 and celebrated 46 years together until her passing. Maumee natives, Tom and Mary stayed in the community to raise their family. Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and will be greatly missed.

Thomas is survived by his children, Thomas C. Jones, Jennifer Jones, and William R. (Tonya) Corron; grandchildren, Johnathon Massey, Codey Massey; twin brother, Jerry (Judi) Jones; nephew, Timothy Justen; niece, Kimberly Jones; and family friend, Sherry Zellers. He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Leora Jones; wife, Mary Beth Jones; brothers, Howard and Richard Jones; sister-in-law, Carol Justen; brother-in-law, Thomas H. Justen III; and niece, Rachael Justen.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio, with funeral services at noon.
