Terry J. Whaley, born on February 26, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on August 9, 2025, in the same city. He was a dedicated machinist at Teledyne Technologies Inc. and proudly served in the Army as a Vietnam veteran.
Terry was known for his jokester personality. He often brought laughter to those around him, fondly remembered for his practical jokes that sometimes edged on the troublesome side, including a few instances that may or may not have caught the attention of the FBI. He was generous, loving, and kind, traits that made him a cherished family member.
He took great pride in raising and loving his family. He referred to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as his “little goobers,” and he was truly the best grandpa they could have wished for. Terry loved fishing and boating, enjoying the great outdoors whenever he could.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Robert) Bialorucki, Kimberly (Joseph) Whaley, and Danyell Whaley; his brother, Norman Dean Whaley; grandchildren Cody (Ashley), Kisara, Paul, Hunter, Joel, Laura (Alex); and ten great-grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Whaley (nee Mallard); father, Homer Whaley; beloved wife of 54 years, Linda F. Whaley (nee Biggs); and son, Kirk Whaley.
