Tara A. Fry, age 62, of Toledo, Ohio, left us unexpectedly on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Born on May 30, 1964, in Toledo to Nolan and Alberta Shown, Tara embraced life with passion and kindness. Her creative spirit was evident in her love for crafting and shopping, and she found joy in simple pleasures like lottery tickets and soap operas. Camping at Clinton Lake Campground was a cherished activity.
Tara's heart belonged to her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her weekly lunch dates with her daughter, Christine, were a testament to her devotion. Known for her selflessness, Tara consistently put others' needs before her own.
She joins her parents and siblings, Edna Brock and David Shown, in peace. Tara's memory lives on through her daughter Christine (James) Alfaro, son William (Jackie) Shuff, her beloved partner Keith Hart, and her cherished grandchildren Alexander, Aiden, James, and Mia Alfaro. She is also survived by her siblings Christine (Roger) Baker, Alan Shown, and Jimmy Shown; and many aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nepehews.
A Celebration of Tara’s life will be held at a later date. To share memories or leave a message, please visit the guestbook below.
