Tammi Gabrielle Watts

Tammi Watts age 38, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026 at St. Vincent Heart and Vascular Institute surrounded by her family. She was born in Detroit, MI on August 29, 1987 to Thomas and Cynthia (Bayless) Watts. In her younger years, she attended Lewis Avenue Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized at 8 years old.

Tammi’s work history included work as a CNA; The Cookie Factory, USPS as a mail carrier and most recently, Ford Motor Company.

Tammi loved her hometown of Detroit and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and living life with no fear and on her own terms. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh that was all her own and her outspokenness. Tammi will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Though her time with us ended far too soon, Tammi’s memory lives on in the hearts of friends and all whose paths she crossed. Each laugh shared and every moment spent together is now a treasured legacy—a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved.

Surviving are her parents, Thomas and Darsene Watts; siblings, Deric (Yolanda) McGee, Miranda Reid, LaDawn Bayless, Jim Bayless, Cathy Clayborne and a host of relatives and friends. Also surviving are special friends, Ashley, Dee Dee, Neesha, Brandi, Courtney, Lateese.

Tammi was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Bayless; grandfather, Henry Watts; grandmother, Geneva Watts and uncles, Charlie, James, Ernest, Willie, Leon, Tony, Edward and Adrian Watts.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel), 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 10:00-11:00AM. Funeral services will begin immediately after visitation from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Interment, Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness, kind words and prayers.

As we remember Tammi, let us celebrate the light she brought into our lives and carry forward her spirit of kindness and grace. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
