Susan M. Shasteen

Susan M. Shasteen, 73, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Ebeid Hospice Center.

 Sue graduated with honors from Cardinal Stritch in 1969. She began working for Toledo Public Schools in 1985 as a paraprofessional, retiring as the Director of Payroll in 2015.

 While working full time at TPS, Sue returned to school, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2004 from Owens College with an Associates degree in Applied Business Management. She went on to receive a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Findlay College in 2006.

 Sue was an avid crafter, crocheting, painting Happy Rocks, and making dozens of beautiful quilts for family and friends. She was known for her baking, turning flour and eggs into love.

 Sue will be greatly missed by her sons, David and Jason, ex-husband Robert, and grandchildren Kail Hurst and Seth Shasteen. Services for Sue will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sues memory.
