Susan M. Head

Susan M. Head, 71, passed away at the University of Toledo Medical Center on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born March 13, 1953 to the late Harold Jarvis and Dolores Buck.

Sue was a beautiful and selfless person who spent much of her time helping out her family and friends. She loved playing cards with her siblings and spending time with her daughters and grandsons. She was an avid animal lover and frequently visited the Toledo Humane Society. When the weather was nice, you could always see her working out in her yard. She took great pride in keeping her lawn and landscape pristine.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Steve) Koch, Jenny Barwiler (Ryan Eschen); grandsons Tommy Starr and Shane Koch; brothers, Dave and Joey Jarvis; and sisters, Gloria Lawson, Kathy Pilliod, Karen Schnapp and Julie Jarvis, along with several nephews and a niece. She is also survived by her stepdaughters, Lisa and Charise, and their three children.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Head; sister Dianna Miller; and nephews Chad Miller, David Jarvis, Jr. and Tim Simon.

The family will receive guests on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio (419-381-1900). A short service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, 2224 Dorr St., Toledo, Ohio.
