In loving memory of Susan M. Bell, who passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, surrounded by her devoted family. Susan was born on November 19, 1951, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Shirley Francis Carpenter Cojei and John Cojei. Her life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and resilience, qualities she imbibed from her cherished parents.

Susan's journey was adorned with a rich tapestry of loving relationships and cherished memories. She shared 54 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Thomas W. Bell Jr.; together, they cultivated a life filled with laughter, adventure, and an unwavering bond that served as a beacon of love for their children and grandchildren.

A woman of great substance and strength, Susan embodied the spirit of a true "Rosie the Riveter" during her career as a press operator at Toledo Tool & Die. Her dedication and tenacity were evident in every task she undertook, and she was proud to contribute to her community through her work.

Susan was blessed with a nurturing spirit and a heart full of warmth. She had a love for animals and a passion for cooking that brought joy to everyone around her. Her kitchen was a haven where family and friends gathered, indulging in the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. The cinema was another of Susan's favorite pastimes, and she delighted in sharing movie outings with her family, often spoiling her grandchildren with treats.

She was known for her generosity and kind heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to her family and anyone in need. Her warm smile was a source of comfort and her kindness left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas W. Bell Jr., her loving children: daughter Jennifer Bell, son Jeremy Bell and his wife Kathy, and son Thomas W. Bell III and his wife Anne. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her nine grandchildren: Devon Bell, Elijah McNeil, Shelby Marecle, Misty Welshans, Anthony Bell, Madisyn Bell, Logan Leimkuhl, Landon Leimkuhl, and Layne Leimkuhl. Her legacy continues through her five great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply.

She is predeceased by her parents, Shirley and John Cojei, her brother Gary Cojei, and her nephew Scott Cojei. Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family, including her brother John (Denny) Cojei and his wife Dianne.

A celebration of life to honor Susan will be held on August 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Westgate Chapel, located at 2500 Wilford Dr, Toledo, OH 43615.
