Sue Ann (LaPlante) Ludwig, born on May 26, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 19 2024. She was a vibrant individual who touched the lives of many, both personally and professionally.
Sue dedicated two decades of her career as an Art and Engineering Sales Specialist for Toledo Blue Print, beginning in 1990 and retiring in 2014. Her expertise and commitment were well-respected in the industry, where she built lasting relationships that extended beyond the confines of work.
A woman of many passions, Sue was known for her love of cooking and baking. Her home was often filled with the rich aromas of her culinary creations, and no one ever left her house hungry. She cherished the moments spent with her family, making memories that would last a lifetime, particularly enjoying time spent on the water boating with her late husband, Thomas Ludwig.
Every year, Sue looked forward to the Kentucky Derby party, a tradition she held dear. Her spirited enthusiasm for life and family gatherings will be a fond reminder for those who knew her.
Sue is survived by her sons, Mike LaPlante and his wife Jennifer, and Kevin Diesing; her daughter, Nicole Soldwish and her husband Matt; her son, Nick Diesing and his wife Amanda; her mother, Connie Eaton; her sisters, Julie Diesing, Lisa Gardner, Autumn LaPlante and Angel Miller; her brother, Rick LaPlante; and thirteen grandchildren, along with one great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Lorraine Gritten and her husband Kevin; step-daughter Rushel Carper; step-granddaughters Alyssa Carper and Charissa Helm, along with a host of extended family and friends who will dearly miss her presence.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Ludwig, and her father, Raymond "Bud" LaPlante. As her family reflects on her life, they take solace in the love, laughter, and warmth she brought to their lives and the world around her. Sue Ann Ludwig's legacy of love and family will forever be treasured by all who knew her.
