Stanley Ray Farley Sr., age 65, died peacefully on Tuesday October 7, 2025 at approximately 6:35 pm at Genacross Lutheran Services Wolf Creek in Holland, OH where he was surrounded by his loving family. Stanley was born on January 4, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland then soon moved to Toledo, OH, shortly after his birth. Stanley Farley lived in Toledo for most of his childhood and attended Rogers High School.
Stanley worked in many trades but was formerly known as a dedicated roofer throughout his young adulthood. Throughout his childhood and young adulthood, Stanley really enjoyed roller skating which he was known for, his skills on the rink inspired many others along with his charm. Some of his interests included playing the guitar, harmonica, and playing cards.
Stanley Farley then met Debbie Farley whom he married on May 14, 1983 and had three beautiful children with. After being married for quite some time, their marriage came to an end on May 15, 1989. Soon after the divorce, Stanley was involved in a tragic car accident that changed the course of his life forever.
After the accident, he did move around a little bit but resided in Adrian, Mi for many years where he met a variety of life long friends. To be closer to his children, Stanley decided to move to Maumee, OH where he remained for the rest of his time before moving into the nursing facility where he needed 24 hour care.
Stanley was a true beacon of light, illuminating those around him with his unwavering hope, sweet demeanor, and great sense of humor. Stanley's presence could truly light up any room. His heart overflowed with love and joy, touching everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Stanley was passionate about the Baltimore Ravens and Nascar racing. He took great pride in his collections, which included Coca-Cola items, racing memorabilia, and country music treasures.
Stanley cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his beloved children, Mindie J. Farley, Stanley R. Farley Jr., and Dawn M. Farley, and his treasured grandchildren, Alexis M. Dronebarger, Christopher R. Moore, Levi D. Moore, Avery M. Moore, and Mckenzie W. Farley.
His fond memories include the joy of taking his grandchildren for rides on his wheel chair, spending quality time with them, and playing the harmonica for them. Additionally, Stanley is remembered by his siblings, Linda Williams, Bill(Lisa) Farley, Liz Farley, and Margaret Prevost, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry forth his legacy of kindness and resilience.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willim Farley and Thelma Winfrey, and sister Jenny Spaulding,
Visitation for Stanley will be held on October 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd.Toledo, OH 43614. A funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, concluding at 12:30 PM on the same date and at the same location.
