Shirley "Sally" May Kille

Shirley "Sally" May Kille, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on March 30, 1932, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life.

Sally's passion for education was evident in her career as a special education teacher, where she dedicated herself to helping children reach their fullest potential. Her warmth and understanding created a nurturing environment that inspired countless students. She earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Toledo, building upon her earlier achievement of a Bachelor’s Degree from Findlay College.

A woman of deep faith, Sally was an active member of Fairgreen Presbyterian Church, where her caring nature and compassion enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sally possessed a personality radiant with love, always ensuring everyone she met felt valued and cared for. Her hobbies reflected her gentle spirit; she was an avid bird watcher and a dedicated doll collector, activities that brought her immense joy.

Sally's proudest accomplishments were her roles as a devoted wife and mother. She cherished her family deeply, including her son Scott Strayer, and her step-sons Brian Kille and Terry Kille, along with their wives Tere and Lisa, respectively. Her loving presence will be missed by her sister-in-law Mary Hall and her nephew John Hall and niece Sara Hall. Sally was also deeply affected by the passing of her beloved husband, Dale Kille, who left this world earlier in the year on May 22, 2025. Their enduring love remains an inspiration, and they are now reunited in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held on August 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Afterward, she will be laid to rest during the burial service at Weston Cemetery in Weston, Ohio at 3:00 PM.

Sally's legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be cherished forever. As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we remember the warmth of her spirit and the gentleness of her soul, forever grateful for the time we shared with her.
