With hearts full of love, memories and sadness, we announce the passing of Shirley “Moonie” Hartman, whose beautiful soul brightened our world for 91 years. She was born in Toledo on January 21, 1934, to Floyd and Letha (Smith) Gingery.
Shirley "Moonie" as she was affectionately known to all, departed this life May 24, 2025, leaving behind many beautiful memories.
She was employed at the former Lion Store and Truck and Van land. Moonie loved her Family, painting, ceramics, sewing, gardening, travel, her pets and playing games on her tablet. Moonie will be remembered for her very kind and Warm spirit; always welcoming, mom and grandma to all the neighborhood kids; her sense of humor and her love for Bob Ross
She is survived by her children, Shelby (Tom) Quackenbush, Robert Hartman Jr., Sharon (Joe) Cordero, and Sandra (Bennie) Davis. Grandchildren: Andrea Foster, Sara (Vince) Stender, Spencer (Nikki) Hartman, Louie (Ashley) Hartman, Alicia (Jason) Barrett, Amber Cordero, Anne (Marlon) Ochoa, Elizabeth (Trazell) McGlown, Dylan (Tia) Davis, and many great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Hartman Sr:; Granddaughters Sirena Rodriguez and Amanda Gimenez and Grandson Gerald "Jerry" Foster.
Family and friends will be welcomed at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (SW Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.
