Sherri Lynn Holt, affectionately known as "Sis" to her family and friends, left this world on February 14, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Born on September 21, 1961, Sherri's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories, which will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Sherri graduated from Whitmer High School in 1979 and went on to have a fulfilling career at Dave White Chevrolet at the corporate office. Her dedication and hard work were well-known among her colleagues, but what truly defined Sherri was her vast capacity for love. She lived life to the fullest, spreading kindness wherever she went, and never uttered a mean word against anyone.
Her brothers remember their sister fondly, reminiscing about the countless joyful moments they shared, where Sherri often took it upon herself to protect them with fierce devotion. They recall her culinary talents, particularly her delicious fried rice and Caesar salad, dishes which became staples at family gatherings.
Family was of utmost importance to Sherri, and she found immeasurable joy in her role as a grandmother. She was immensely proud of her grandsons, Kobe and Kyrie, whom she loved dearly. Sherri was a loving daughter to her mother, Shirley, and a cherished sister to her brothers, Michael, Keith, and Edward, along with their wives, Tonia and Tracy. She adored her host of nieces and nephews, and her second family at Carmel's, each holding a special place in her heart.
Among her many interests, Sherri had a passion for traveling to Florida with her friends, where laughter and adventure would fill the air. She loved collecting pigs, shoes, and jewelry, each piece telling a story, much like her own vibrant life.
Sherri is preceded in death by her father, Bobbyjoe, her daughter, Keli Rae, and a special friend, Bob Fritz. Though they are no longer with us, their memories will be forever intertwined with hers.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Sherri's extraordinary life during the visitation on February 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623.
In closing, Sherri Lynn Holt's legacy is one of unconditional love, boundless joy, and a spirit that could light up the darkest of days. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten, living on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As Sherri would say "Peace Out!"
