Sherri Ann Billings, a vibrant spirit known for her bold personality, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. Born on November 17, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska, whom currently resided in Lambertville, Michigan. Sherri was a proud Bedford High School graduate who dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother.
Throughout her life, Sherri embraced the joy of family, often organizing memorable vacations that brought everyone together. Whether it was during Christmas celebrations where she was making buckeyes and cookies with her mom and sisters or even during cherished road trips ventures, her laughter resonated with those around her, creating lasting memories with her family.
Sherri's creativity blossomed through her favorite pastime—adult coloring books—which she enjoyed alongside her loved ones. Her corky yet bold demeanor, mingled with humor—both intentional and unintentional—made her an unforgettable presence in the lives of all who knew her. She carried a genuine love for her family, beaming with pride as she watched her grandchildren grow and thrive. Her legacy is deeply rooted in the joy she brought to her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory is her adoring husband of 47 years, Royal "Bud" Billings. Sherri is also survived by her son, Steven (Hope) Billings; step-daughters, Sheila Reynolds and Paula Swan; her mother, Mary Ann Donbrosky; sisters Sandy (Wayne) Dibert and Christine (Ken) Guess; along with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.
Sherri was preceded in death by her beloved father, Kenneth E. Donbrosky; and sister, Caroline J. Donbrosky, mother-in-law, Betty Helen Billings, father-in-law, Royal B. Billings Sr.
A visitation will be held to honor Sherri on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania, located at 3655 King Rd, Toledo, OH 43617, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. officiated by Pastor Bobby Baum from Shelton Park Church. Sherri will then be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m.
In mourning her loss, we remember Sherri as a beautiful soul whose love for her family was boundless. Her laughter, vibrant spirit, and unwavering affection will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
