Sheronda Yvette Jackson-Waters

Sheronda Yvette Jackson-Waters age 51 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on December 9, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1974.

Sheronda attended Toledo Public Schools and graduated from Jesup W. Scott High School in 1992, where she was a member of the Scott High Marching Band. For several years, she was an active member of Guiding Light Tabernacle, where she shared her incredible talent as a choir director. Later, Sheronda became a member of the Church Without Walls Ministries, part of the Church of God in Christ.

She had a deep love for her family and music, often encouraging her loved ones to sing at every family gathering. Sheronda made everyone she encountered feel special and always greeted them with a smile. She was dearly loved by all and had a remarkable ability to share love with everyone she met.

Sheronda was employed by ProMedica, where she served as one of the most skilled and requested phlebotomists at Toledo Hospital for 28 years. She also shared her expertise as an instructor at Owens Community College and worked as an attendant at S&G Gas Station.

Sheronda and her loving husband, Reginald Waters, were blessed with four children and two grandsons.She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Jackson; her brother, Derrick Shawn; and her maternal and paternal grandparents, Lennon and Luerlean Ransey, and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Jackson.

Her legacy and cherished memories will forever be held dear by her husband, Reginald; mother. Berta Ransey Jackson; sons, Shawn Jackson and Sherron Waters; daughters, Shemeka Jackson and Shakala Waters; grandchildren, Zyair and Zmazi; nieces, Enjoi Coleman and Taylor Hayes; mother-in-law, Sheila Waters; sister-in-law, Dionne Waters; Godmother, Helen Isabell; and a host of close family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., (Southwest Chapel), Toledo on Friday December 19, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Ave. Toledo. Interment will be at Forest Cemetery, Toledo.
