Sharon L. Winkle, born on November 29, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. A valued member of her community and a dedicated professional.

Sharon was a Library Administrator, serving at the Sandusky Public Library in Sandusky, Ohio, were she became her career and in Englewood, Colorado, for eleven years. Her most notable tenure was as the Library Director in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where she inspired countless individuals over a remarkable twenty-two years. Her commitment to fostering a love for reading and learning among patrons was evident in every aspect of her work.

Sharon's dedication to education was one of her proudest accomplishments. She attended Findlay High School before moving on to Findlay College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Business. She further pursued her passion for knowledge at University of Cincinnati, where she received her Master's Degree in Business Administration. Sharon continued her educational journey in Louisville, Kentucky, obtaining her Library Administration certification, and completed her Master's and Ph.D. work at the University of Denver. Her thirst for knowledge and improvement was a testament to her character, reflecting the artistic, humorous, kind, and wonderful person that she was.

In addition to her professional achievements, Sharon enjoyed a variety of hobbies that included rug hooking and basket weaving, showcasing her creative spirit. She embraced everyday life with a zest that was contagious, often bringing smiles and laughter to those around her.

Sharon shared 46 years of marriage with her husband, Clifford, building a life filled with love and companionship. She is survived by her devoted husband, Clifford; her sisters, Kathy McEaneney and Sandra Winkle; and her brother, Ken Winkle. Her legacy continues through them, as they cherish the memories of her kindness and the joy she brought into their lives.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marguerite Winkle, who surely welcomed her with open arms.

As we remember Sharon L. Winkle, we celebrate a life dedicated to literacy, education, and the warmth of personal connections. Her influence will undoubtedly endure in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at First Congregational Church, located at 2315 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, OH 43620.
