Sharon Heffner

Sharon, a beloved matriarch, and cherished friend, peacefully departed this world on September 12, 2026, at the Hospice of North West Ohio, after facing multiple illnesses with unwavering courage.  Born on August 21, 1944, in the vibrant city of Toledo, Ohio, Sharon was the precious daughter or Richard Krohn and Rosina Brushaber.  She was predeceased by her loving parents, her devoted husband, Donald P. Heffner, and her dear son, Joseph E. Heffner.

In 1962, Sharon embarked on a lifelong journey with Donald P. Heffner, her cherished partner, and together they built a family grounded in love and resilience.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law Rose Heffner, and her treasured grandchildren, Nicole and Nicholas Heffner.  Her legacy continues to blossom through her four great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her heart.  

Sharon's professional life was marked by dedication and service, having worked in various roles until she discovered her true calling as a school bus driver for Sylvania City Schools in 1970.  She devoted 40 years to safely transporting and caring for the students, leaving an indelible mark on countless young lives.

A woman of diverse passions, Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life.  She was an ardent lover of Bingo, often sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends during spirited games.  Her love for horses reflected her deep appreciation for nature's beauty, while her fondness for country music resonated with her warm and spirited personality.

In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Sharon's life.  The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported Sharon throughout her journey, offering comfort and kindness in her times of need.
