Seena Rebecca Murphy

Seena Rebecca “Becky” Murphy, of Toledo, Ohio and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on November 23, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, Seena was a cherished presence in her family.

Becky devoted her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in the lasting bonds she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Becky is survived by her loving daughters, Kimberly Gildemeister and Tina (Albert) Garcia; her devoted sons, Jason (Maegen) Gildemeister, David Padilla, and Ernesto Padilla. She leaves behind a treasured legacy through her grandchildren, Jason Jr., Destiny, Logan, Angela, Savannah, Ernie Jr., Katelyn, and Aaron and 10 great grandchildren. Each one brought immense pride and happiness to her life, and she created countless precious memories with them through gatherings, celebrations, and simple moments together.

Becky’s life was also touched by loss. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jennifer Padilla, her father Carl Murphy, her mother Edna Murphy, her brother Don Murphy, her sisters Linda Riley and Judy Murphy, and her grandchild Antonio Garcia. The strength and resilience with which Becky faced these losses shaped her into a source of comfort and support for all who knew her.

A dedicated worker, Becky spent much of her career in housekeeping at Budget Inn. Becky’s interests and hobbies reflected her fun-loving and spirited nature. She enjoyed shopping, was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, and held a special place in her heart for the music of Alan Jackson. Little Debbie snacks and afternoons brimming with crafts, especially scrapbooking, brought her delight—allowing her to capture and commemorate the moments she cherished most.

Her proudest accomplishments were not measured by accolades or possessions, but by the love she gave and received. The time she spent surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the highlight of her life, and it is there her true legacy lives on.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and remember Becky at the visitation, which will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614 with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM at the same location.

Becky's memory will carry on through the lives of those she touched, inspiring love, resilience, and joy in the hearts of all who knew her.
