Scott Arthur Freeman, born on March 12, 1974, in Toledo Ohio, passed away at his home on December 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by compassion and dedication. He devoted over 30 years to his career as an EMT, a role that was not just a job for him, but a true passion. Throughout his career, he touched countless lives, embodying the spirit of service and commitment that he held dear.
A proud graduate of Maumee High School, Scott furthered his education by receiving certification as an EMT, solidifying his commitment to helping those in need. He relished the opportunity to make a difference in others' lives, demonstrating unwavering dedication and kindness in every call he answered.
Scott shared a loving relationship with his fiancée, Beth Bilby, since 2018. Their bond brought joy to his life, and together they created cherished memories. He was also a devoted father to his son, Cody Freeman, and embraced his role as a bonus father to his two bonus daughters, Marissa Swan and Ashley (Ethan Piasecki) Bilby. His six bonus grandchildren—Paislee, Celia, Avery, Tayleigh, Levi, and Eleanor—were a source of immense pride and joy for him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his family, Scott is survived by his siblings, Fred Freeman, Jeff Freeman, and Kelly (Tim) Dinkens, as well as his nephews Ryan and Zach and niece Kayla. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember him fondly.
Scott was a devoted sports fan, cheering for the Browns, Buckeyes, Cubs, and Black Hawks. His interests included the meticulous collection and construction of model airplanes, tanks, and cars, and an hobby of coin collecting, which showcased his attention to detail and appreciation for history.
Scott is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jacquelene and Frederick Freeman; brother, Greg Freeman; and his grandparents, Ethel and Lamar Raberg, and Jack and Jean Marriott. Their memory will live on within the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation will be held on January 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a sharing of memories at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. All who knew Scott are invited to come together to honor his life and legacy.
