Russell Owen Strole, 58, of Toledo, Ohio died unexpectedly on March 24, 2024. Rusty's loss was sudden and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Rusty was born to Owen and Sandra Strole in Torrance, California on December 19, 1965. He attended Roger's High School, graduating in the class of 1984. After graduating, Rusty began working as a forklift driver at Sam's Club, where he was employed for thirty years. He retired two years ago.
Rusty was predeceased by his father, Owen Strole. He is survived by his mother, Sandra, his sister, Kimberly Strole, brother in law, Patrick Kramer and nieces, Hannah and Chayah Kramer; in addition to many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rusty lived in the same home his entire life and also had many neighbors who were like family.
Anyone who knew Rusty, knew that he was very giving, often buying things and literally giving them away or handing money to his nieces every time that he saw them. He enjoyed his dog, Daisy and his parrot, Sydney. Rusty was a collector of boots, pens, and turquoise jewelry. He was a Jeep and CB Radio enthusiast. Rusty was known for his generosity and willingness to help his family. His most commonly used phrase was " let me know if there is anything I can do". He would show up, for anyone who needed him and help in any way possible. He loved and lived for his family especially his mom, who he had cared for these last few years. He was a person who put other people's needs ahead of his own and will be truly missed.
Contributions in memory of Rusty can be made to Toledo Area Humane Society. There will be a funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 held at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road Toledo, Ohio with burial at Springfield Township Cemetery immediately following.
