Ruby Lee Tiete

Ruby Lee Tiete, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Toledo Hospital with her loving family by her side.Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret; her beloved husband, David; and her cherished son, Keith Gipson.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Joseph Spencer (Brenda Spencer), Michael Varanese (Robin Dusseau), David Gipson (Patti Gipson), and Wesley Gipson (Bridget Gipson),one brother; Utah Carl Bailey. She is also survived by her beloved daughter-in-law, Lois Carrigan, wife of her late son, Keith Gipson.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jr. Spencer, Tera Varanese (Angel Ibarra), Kelly Varanese (Mike Madrid), Michelle Varanese, Justen Gipson, Bryan Gipson, Wesley Gipson Jr. (Jackie Gipson), Paige Gipson (Dempsey Irwin), Darian Gipson, Brandon Gipson, and Jewelia Gipson.

Ruby was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Hailey, Mariah, Michael, Gionni, Mikel, Bryce, and Torrian; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kayson and NovaLee, all of whom brought her endless joy.

Ruby was the heart of her family. She was a woman of incredible strength, determination, and unwavering love. Those who knew her will remember her beautiful brown eyes, her unmistakable sense of humor, and the playful eye rolls that were often followed by a laugh. She loved spending time with the people she loved most, whether it was sharing Sunday breakfasts, shopping for the latest piece of jewelry, tending to her beloved cactus, or watching the squirrels and chipmunks outside her window. Above all else, Ruby treasured her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by those she loved, and she took immense pride in watching her family grow through each new generation.

Ruby’s love, wisdom, and strength leave a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave so freely will be cherished forever.

In accordance with Ruby’s wishes, no funeral or memorial services will be held. Her family asks that those who knew and loved her honor her memory in their own special way by cherishing the moments shared with her and holding her close in their hearts.
