Rosetta Jean Wallace Carroll Seawater, a woman whose endless kindness, patience, and humor touched all who knew her, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 11, 1940, to John and Norma Wallace, Rosetta embraced life with a gentle heart and steady hands. Her patience, tested and strengthened by raising four mischievous sons and two spirited daughters, naturally led her into a career as a nurse, where she extended her care and compassion to countless others.
Rosetta's life was full of laughter and love. She delighted in crafting, fishing, camping, and the great outdoors. Known for her playful spirit, she enjoyed sharing jokes and laughter with her loved ones, creating memories that will forever echo in the hearts of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Norma Wallace, and her beloved husband, John Seawater.
Rosetta leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry on her legacy: her son Richard Carroll (Jennifer); daughter Vickie Sigman (Terry); daughter Donna Veith (Jim); son Jerry Carroll; son Steven Carroll (Sandra); and son Michael Carroll (Lisa).
She is the proud matriarch of an impressive family including 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. A funeral service will be held at the funeral on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Rosetta's memory will live on in the laughter she inspired, the wisdom she shared, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
