Rosemary Billmaier was born on April 6, 1935 in Monroe, Michigan, passed away on June 13, 2026. She was one of eleven children born from the union of Ruby and Pauline (Wieznewski) Rowe. Rosemary married the love of her life, Clifford Billmaier on September 18, 1954, and the happy couple was blessed with the birth of five children.
Throughout her life, Rosemary placed immense importance on family and the upkeep of her home, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to the care and nurturing of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She found true happiness in watching her family grow and thrive, taking pleasure in the opportunity to influence and inspire the youngest generations. Rosemary had a special gift for teaching children to read, always finding creative ways to help them sound out words and develop their love for learning.
Rosemary was a woman of many interests and hobbies. She delighted in gardening, nurturing the beauty of nature just as she nurtured those around her. Her love for playing Euchre was well-known among her friends and family, as was her enthusiasm for frequent visits to casinos and the thrill of scratch-offs. Ever resourceful and creative, she enjoyed refurbishing old furniture, breathing new life into cherished pieces before passing them on to others.
She is survived by her cherished children, Sheila (Michael) Santure, Dina (Paul Richard) Gossett, and Frank (Lisa) Billmaier; her devoted granddaughters, Laura Sepulveda, Andrea (Trent Thompson) Sepulveda, Ciara (Celly Odell) Gossett, Emily (Tim) Goebel, Erin (Adam Golday) Kelley; her beloved grandsons, Kyle (Brittany) Billmaier, Derek (Taylor) Gossett, and Seth Kelley; as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Lane, Carter, Ember, Raegan, Amelia, Scarlett, Mark, Owen, Rowen, Tate, Ruby, Scotty, and Blaze. The family’s joy extends also to one great-great-granddaughter, Adeline. Rosemary’s siblings, Genevieve (the late Arnold) Knaggs and Marvin (Deanna) Rowe, along with her sister-in-law Rita Rowe, also remain as part of the supportive network that surrounded her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Billmaier; her loving parents, Ruby and Pauline Rowe; her children, Paula Billmaier and Wayne Billmaier; and siblings, Norman Rowe, Betty (Robert) Blair, Delores (Richard) Gerth, Robert Rowe, James Rowe, Virginia Rowe, as well as two infant siblings, William and Charles Rowe.
Rosemary’s life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to family and her many passions. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering resilience (she was tough as nails) will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Per Rosemary's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private burial will take place at LaSalle Cemetery.
