Roseann Marie Peiffer, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Ohio, following a tragic cycling accident. Born on January 18, 1987, from Brunswick, Ohio, she was a vibrant spirit who embraced life's challenges with unwavering determination and enthusiasm.
Roseann's educational journey began at Kidder Elementary and continued through Edwards Middle School and Brunswick High School. She earned her Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University, reflecting her commitment to personal growth and achievement. Her career began as a Wellness Coordinator for Kingston, where she dedicated herself to promoting health and well-being. However, once she became a mother, she made the heartfelt decision to focus her time on her cherished daughter, Annmarie Grace Peiffer.
Roseann married the love of her life, Michael Peiffer on October 11, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Brunswick, Ohio. They met through a cycling club and took on life together. They were each others best friends and partners and their love could not be divided.
As a proud Catholic, Roseann's faith was integral to her life. She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc and found joy in being part of various cycling and running clubs. Her love for physical activity was evident in her passion for cycling, triathlons, and hiking. Roseann traveled the world, competing in numerous events where she often excelled, even taking first place in many competitions. Her adventurous spirit took her through breathtaking landscapes, including the Swiss Alps, and her hope was to share these experiences with her daughter.
Roseann’s personality shone through in her vibrant pursuits and her dedication to her family. She was determined and fiercely proud of her accomplishments, which included countless trophies and completing a remarkable 212-mile cycling event across Michigan in just over 14 hours. Roseann cherished the company of her loved ones and was always ready to lend her support or share a laugh.
She is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Michael Peiffer; her precious daughter, Annmarie; her parents, James and Donna (Tranchita) Perchinske; her sister, Kristen (Matthew) Jindra; her nieces and nephews, Sophia Jindra, Emmajean Peiffer, Eloise Canaday, Noelle Basey, and Griffin Basey; as well as her father-in-law, Stephen (Norma) Peiffer; mother-in-law, Christie Huffman; siblings-in-law, Jamie (Adam Rettig) Forrest, Tiffany (Ryan) Canaday, and Jessica (Shawn) Miller; and her grandmother-in-law, Carolyn Huffman.
Roseann was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Anthony and Vincetta Tranchita, Jerome M. and Anne Grace Perchinske; as well as grandparent In-laws Gerald and Agnes Peiffer and James Huffman.
A visitation will be held on June 6, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo with a Mass in her honor at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
With her spirit enduring in the hearts of those she touched, Roseann Marie Peiffer leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and an unyielding zest for life. She reminded us all to live life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
