Ronald "Ron" Gregory Michalak

Ronald "Ron" Gregory Michalak, age 78, of Toledo, OH found his way to a better place on March 10, 2026 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo.

Ron was born on November 9, 1947 to John and Rose (Walczak) Michalak. He is survived by his wife, Sandra "Sandee" Michalak; his son, Matthew; his sister, Denise (Joe) Foor; sister-in-law, Carol (John deceased) numerous cousins, and many close friends.

A graduate of Central Catholic's class of 1965, Ron later graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree he was able to obtain while working a full time job and raising a family. He retired from Anderson Development Company in Adrian, MI after more than 20 years of service with the title of Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), the highest honor that can be achieved in his field.

When he wasn't working, Ron's truest passion was for the University of Michigan football. Starting with the Michigan vs. Ohio State in 1969, he attended nearly 300 consecutive home games, and held season tickets for 40 years. He was also a music fan with a huge collection of 45's, and a chance encounter with the music and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett led to Captain Ron finding a gang of like-minded revelers in the Northwest Parrothead Club, eventually becoming the clubs President.

The Michalak family are planning a Celebration of Ron's Life at a later date.
