Ronald L. Lieske

Ronald L. Lieske, aged 95, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home on January 17, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1930, in Boone, Iowa, to Clifford and Bernice (Adaus) Lieske.

Ron proudly graduated from Ogden High School in 1949. In March of 1958, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the Air Force, where he honorably flew 69 missions over Korea. He excelled in his military career, graduating from the Air Force Officer Candidate School in 1958, and serving a dedicated 22 years before retiring as a Major in 1971.

Outside of his military service, Ron enjoyed exploring the beauty of North America, traveling throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico in his motorhome. His adventurous spirit and love for travel brought joy to his life and created lasting memories for his family.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife, Ann Lieske; his sons, Robert Lieske, Tony Tran; daughter, Angelina (Robert) Oestrike and his 6 grandchildren. He is also remembered by his siblings, Clifford Lieske, Janice Ward, and Ruth Christiansen. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son, Richard Lieske; his first wife, Shirley Lieske; and his brothers, Myron and Norman Lieske.

Ron will be laid to rest with full honors at the National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Ronald L. Lieske will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
