Ronald Jacobs

Ronald Jacobs, 80, was born on July 5, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio.  Ronald passed quietly at home under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  He was a beloved brother, father and friend who was deeply cherished by all who knew him.

Ronald attended Macomber High School where he excelled in sports on the football field and on the basketball court.  He proudly graduated with the class of 1963.  Ronald was known for his passion of sports and mentorship, over the years, he coached various teams throughout the community. 

Ron devoted over 30 years to a dedicated career at the Chrysler Corporation before retiring, His drive and care continued though his work as he stared his own lawn care business, he served his neighbors and community with integrity and pride.   

Ronald also took pride in music and he loved to dance.  Dancing was one of his best hobbies.  He was known to be one of the first on the dance floor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arline Monroe, father, Frank Jacobs, Sr., step-father, James Monroe and beloved wife, Barbara Jacobs.

Ronald is lovingly remembered by his step-mother, Betty Jacobs, brothers, Frank Jacobs Jr., Keith Perry, Steve Perry, Billy Perry and Kevin Jones, sisters, Catherine Perry, Marsha Perry and Jeanette Jones, children, Sonya Jacobs, Carletta Tukes, Calisa Harrison, Joshua Jacobs and Ronda Jacobs, fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who were a constant source of joy and pride in his life.  

Ron's visitation will take place on Friday, June 20th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Toledo, located at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM.
