Robert William Steinmiller, fondly known as Bob, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 77. Born on December 29, 1947, in Toledo, Bob lived a life characterized by dedication to family, a strong sense of humor, and a passion for his career and interests.

Bob had an impressive career as a Pressman for the Toledo Ticket Company, where he dedicated 41 years of his life. He began working there while still in high school but took a break to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he gave his all to the Toledo Ticket Company until his retirement.

A proud alumnus of Macomber High School, class of 1965, Bob carried with him a dry sense of humor and a quick wit that endeared him to those around him. Though he was a man of few words, his love for his family was evident; he held a special soft spot for his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Bob's interests were varied and vibrant. He was an avid fan of horse racing, proudly owning several harness horses that raced at Raceway Park. A recent family trip to Churchill Downs brought him great happiness, as he cherished the time spent with his loved ones during that summer visit. Sports also played a significant role in Bob’s life; he was a lifelong supporter of all Detroit sports teams and had a particular affection for Ohio State Football. His enthusiasm extended to his grandchildren's sporting endeavors, always the most fervent cheerleader in the stands.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife, Debra Steinmiller, with whom he shared 51 cherished years of marriage. He is survived by his son, Ken Steinmiller, and his wife Hilary; his daughter, Cari Murphy, and her husband Shawn; as well as his adored grandchildren: Bryce Steinmiller, Brynlee Steinmiller, Caitlynn Murphy, Haleigh Murphy, and Connor Murphy. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jerry DeMoe, and his wife Laurie; brother-in-law Don DeMoe; sister-in-law DeeDee Crouch; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandson, Brendan Murphy; his brother, Kenneth Steinmiller; and his parents, Bill and Caroline Steinmiller.

The family will receive guests for visitation and a funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623, on December 1, 2025. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by the funeral service starting at 4:00 PM.
