Robert Maher

Robert Maher, 72, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2026. He was born on February 27, 1954, to James and Betty Maher.

Robert was a proud graduate of Whitmer High School. 

He spent more than 25 years working with classic automobiles, a career built around one of his greatest passions. His love for classic cars brought him immense joy and allowed him to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with many others throughout the years.

On November 16, 1974, Robert married the love of his life, Susan. Together they shared more than 52 years of marriage and built a loving family. From this union was born their son, Jamie, who was a source of great pride and happiness throughout Robert's life.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Maher, and his brothers, Steve, Jeff, and Shawen Maher. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Susan Maher; his son, Jamie (Elizabeth) Maher; and his beloved grandsons, Gavin and Preston, whom he loved dearly.

Robert will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his passion for classic cars, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
