Robert Bryan Keck passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his devoted mother, Barbara.

Born on January 13, 1969, to Marvin and Barbara Keck, Robert lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and a deep love for his family and the things that brought him joy.

From an early age, he possessed a strong sense of independence and determination, qualities that would guide him throughout his life. Robert was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1987.

He continued his education at The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Answering a calling to serve others, he graduated from the Columbus Police Academy in 1993 and dedicated the next 22 years of his life to the Columbus Division of Police. Beginning his career as a patrol officer and eventually serving as a burglary detective, Robert approached his work with integrity, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to his community.

While Robert took great pride in his career, he also knew how to enjoy life. He was a passionate fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets, NASCAR, Metallica, and all things Star Wars. He especially loved to travel and looked forward to the many Disney cruises he enjoyed over the years. Whether exploring a new destination, cheering on his favorite team, or sharing his love of music and movies, Robert found happiness in the experiences that brought people together.

Those who knew Robert will remember his thoughtful nature, strong work ethic, and generous heart. He was the kind of person who could always be counted on, someone who quietly showed his love through his actions. His loyalty and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robert leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and will forever cherish the memories they shared. He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Barbara Keck; his sister, Lori (Tony) Koepfer; his beloved goddaughter and niece, Kara Koepfer; his nephew, Evan (Nichole) Koepfer; his great-niece, Laine Koepfer; and his great-nephew, Knox Koepfer.

Though his presence will be greatly missed, the love, laughter, and countless memories Robert shared with those around him will remain in their hearts forever. His legacy of dedication, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
